It’s NEVER too late to start living your dreams. NEVER! Your insight, creativity & sheer ingenuity are missing. You have a place in this world, for the sake of us all, take it.
I always have the good fortune to share the nuggets of wisdom that I’ve learned in my thirty-six years on the earth. Whether those nuggets are about hair–which I can talk for hours about or conduct tutorials on how to take care of many different types of hair–or learning to overcome the every day hurtles of life, one of the most relevant nuggets I’ve amassed is believing that dreams can be a reality!
It’s HARD work making a dream come true. Not because of lack of finances, funding or even a decent business plan. No. The real battle isn’t fought on paper, at the bank or even with a sponsor. The real battle is fought inside you–specifically, inside your mind. It doesn’t matter if you have the perfect plan for your dream, without believing that it will happen–that you can do it–your dream will remain what it is now, a thought.
See, it takes more than a plan or vision for your life to make a dream tangible. It takes more than prayer or speaking positivity into your life for the unseen to manifest itself. What’s missing and what’s needed isn’t based on the things YOU can do, it’s based on the things you WILL do. Will you still believe it’s possible when you look at your situation and it seems more barren than it did yesterday? Will you still believe when it becomes more of an inconvenience than you thought? Will you still move forward when obstacles shoot up from the ground trying to cut you off at every turn?
It wasn’t easy for me to be a single Mom after having been married for so many years. It definitely wasn’t easy to say I’d go back to school to live out my dream of being a published author and accomplished writer. It wasn’t easy to continue to believe I’d have a future and a hope especially when everything around me seemed so bleak and dead. But I did. I never stopped trying to reach for it; never stopped believing I’d get there. Sure, I’d fall victim to doubt and rubber-necking (looking back at what was), but the funny thing about a dream is it never lets you settle for the placebo.
Your insight creativity and sheer ingenuity are missing. If you don’t do what you’re supposed to do, how can we? Start with this:
You do have a place in this world. Some one is waiting for what you have to offer. You’ve kept it to yourself long enough. Now, get up. Dust yourself off. And get to making your dream a reality!

In the midst of economic downturns, downsizes and downward spirals or paths of life, I’ve made up my mind to be blissfully grateful for the woman I’ve become, the qualities I possess and the faith that sustains me through it all.
To the untrained eye I look young–real young. Some say 20, 25 even 30. No one ever believes I’ll be 40 in a few years. But to those with a keen eye, look closely. There in the lines adorning the outskirts of my eyes–in the 3 strands of grey hairs that accent my crown–you’ll see me: fierce, supple and simple.
I’ve lived through many battles and sustained deep wounds. But thanks to the power of unfailing love and healing, I am renewed in the inner place beyond measure. I dream it and I do it. I speak it and I believe it. I run–not walk. Glide not stutter. I soar like eagles; majesty and beauty flow in and through me. I am endowed with the power to believe in the intangible, the impossible and the invisible.
It is this power that compels me to sing praises and whisper thanks not for what I’ve been through but for who I am as a result. I am blissfully grateful for life, the freedom to love and the power of faith.
What are you grateful for??
Thanks for visiting,
